A Summary of 2019 in Three Words

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” (Rom 12:12)

As 2019 ends and a new year (and new decade) begins, I like to look back at the events and lessons of the previous year. I’ve mentioned before in this blog that I think it’s important to reflect on the past in order to move forward. Usually, this means a year-end evaluation of my goals or my word of the year.

This time, I’m trying something a little different. Recently, I read about choosing three words to summarize the year. A Dog’s Confidence

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” (2 Tim 1:7)

Lilly, my Yorkie, pranced across the living room floor, turning her head this way and that to show off the pretty bow the groomer had put next to her ear. She had a happy doggy smile on her face as she turned in circles in front of my parents. They oohed and aahed over her, and she rolled over so they could rub her belly.
